Blackbody calibration sources PYROTHERM
For the calibration and checking of radiation thermometers and infrared cameras, DIAS Infrared produces blackbody calibration sources.
The PYROTHERM calibration radiator product range includes numerous types with radiator temperatures between -15 °C and 1500 °C. To ensure a high emissivity close to 1, surface radiators with specially coated surface structures or cavity radiators with a ceramic cavity are used. Precision temperature sensors and PID controllers guarantee high temperature accuracy and stability.
The following overview contains selected calibration sources of the series PYROTHERM:
- Blackbody calibration source PYROTHERM CS 120:
Surface radiator, 50 mm diameter, temperature range -15 °C to 120 °C - Blackbody calibration source PYROTHERM CS 500:
Surface radiator, 60 mm diameter, temperature range 50 °C to 500 °C - Blackbody calibration source PYROTHERM CS 1200:
Cavity radiator, 38 mm diameter, temperature range 300 °C to 1200 °C - Blackbody calibration source PYROTHERM CS 1500:
Cavity radiator, 38 mm diameter, temperature range 300 °C to 1500 °C - Blackbody calibration source PYROTHERM CS 400:
Surface radiator, 30 mm diameter, temperature range 50 °C to 400 °C - Blackbody calibration source PYROTHERM CS F35 to F150:
Surface radiator, 50 mm diameter, fixed temperatures between 35 °C and 150 °C - Blackbody calibration source PYROTHERM CCS 130:
Surface radiator, 55 mm diameter, fixed temperatures between 30 °C and 130 °C
With the first four radiator types CS 120, CS 500, CS 1200 and CS 1500, the radiator temperature can be set within the specified temperature range on the temperature controller and via a digital interface. These device types are therefore particularly suitable for use in calibration laboratories.
In contrast to this, the last two types, CS F35 to F150 and CCS 130, have their emitter temperatures set at the factory according to customer specifications. Together with the robust design, these emitter types are often used for on-site monitoring of permanently installed pyrometers and thermal imaging cameras. The CS 400 device type is also designed for on-site use. However, it also allows the temperature to be set by the customer.
In addition to our standard calibration radiators, we also manufacture and develop application specific solutions, e.g.
- Black body calibration source PYROTHERM CCS 3-130:
Three radiator surfaces, each 55 mm diameter, with fixed temperatures between 30 °C and 130 °C, particularly suitable for on-site service - Black body calibration source PYROTHERM CS A300:
Large area radiator 320 x 320 mm², temperature range 20 °C to 300 °C, nine separately controlled heating zones and an integrated cooling module ensure on the central area of 250 x 250 mm² a high temperature uniformity 0.15 K (30 °C) to 1.5 K (300 °C)

Transfer radiation thermometers
For the inspection of calibration sources and for the traceable calibration of infrared temperature measuring devices in the temperature range from 0 ° C to 2500 ° C, DIAS Infrared also offers long-term stable and high-precision transfer radiation thermometers.
The following table gives an overview of the DIAS transfer radiation thermometers PYROSPOT cal:

Thermal infrared emitters
In addition to infrared detectors suitable miniaturized infrared emitters are required for application in gas analysis and spectroscopy. For this, infrared emitters of the HISpower series are suitable:
- Electrical pulsable thermal emitters mounted in TO8 package
- Patended nanostructured radiation element with high emission
- Wavelength between 1 µm and 16 µm
- Various high-quality filter windows
- Optional integrated reflector
