New infrared cameras PYROVIEW 768N and PYROVIEW 512N for high-temperature application

DIAS Infrared expands its market leadership at fixed infrared cameras for non-contact measurement of high temperatures in the industry.

Specifically in the high-temperature range in metal or glass manufacturing higher and lower temperatures have to be measured at the same time for a precise process control. The project engineers of DIAS Infrared have developed the PYROVIEW 512N – the only currently available camera with a continuous long temperature range from 600 °C to 1500 °C.

The infrared camera with 512 x 384 pixels has a measurement frequency of 60 images per second. For specifically high spatial resolutions the “big brother” the latest infrared camera PYROVIEW 768N with 768 x 576 pixels and 50 images per second is available now. Both camera types PYROVIEW 512N and PYROVIEW 768N work in the near infrared range (NIR) between 0.8 µm and 1.1 µm to minimize the influence of the emissivity on the measurement accuracy of the temperature.

A further innovation concerns a second continuous high-temperature measurement range. Besides the standard measurement range of 600 °C to 1500 °C there is now the possibility for an also continuous measurement range from 1400 °C to 3000 °C. The infrared cameras are adjusted ex works to one of these both measurement ranges.
Depending on individual customer requirements the cameras are built in an aluminum compact housing (IP54) or a robust stainless steel industry housing (IP65) with water cooling, air purge and protection window. The new infrared cameras are used in manifold application in process control and process monitoring as well as in quality control for example in the manufacturing of cement.
